Siempre he pensado igual.

Five candidates for ferraris 2013 campaign

Ferrari have long been one of the most famous brands in Formula One, with their legendary red machines blazing to glory, and leaving the rest of the field behind.
However, the past few seasons have seen the ‘Scuderia’ slip behind the likes of McLaren and Red Bull, whose driver line-ups have consistently picked up the lion’s share of the points. Ferrari dominated the constructors’ standings through the early 2000’s with Michael Schumacher and Ruben Barrichello forming a formidable pairing, helping the team to six consecutive championships.
The break-up of this partnership has coincided with a drop in fortunes for the Italian outfit, who have claimed the ultimate team prize on only two occasions since 2004.
This has led to early speculation surrounding who will be filling the seats for the 2013 campaign, as Ferrari look to once again establish themselves as F1’s dominant force. With his contract running until 2016, Fernando Alonso’s future looks to be secure, but the same cannot be said of his partner Felipe Massa who has, in recent times, struggled to keep pace with his teammate.
This list outlines five candidates to take over from the Brazilian, and help Ferrari in their quest for glory:
Paul Di Resta:
Although he may be one of the new kids on the block, Paul Di Resta has quickly cemented a reputation as a reliable and consistent performer. While some ‘rookies’ can look erratic behind the wheel, the Force India driver has appeared assured and fully in control during his year-and-a-bit in Formula One, leading to links with many of the sports top teams. Although he is rumoured to have a close relationship with the Mercedes camp, a switch to Ferrari may tempt the Brit, who will be keen to push on with his career immediately.
Sergio Perez:
The Mexican appears to be the long-term favourite to take up a position at Ferrari, with the team’s hierarchy rumoured to be impressed by his short stint in the sport. Being a product of the Ferrari Driver Academy, an eventual switch to the Italian giants would appear to be all but guaranteed, given his impressive form, but recent comments regarding his aggression have raised short-term doubts. Ferrari may still be keen to bring Perez in sooner rather than later, to avoid rivals swooping and open up a greater fan base within Central and South America.
Mark Webber:
The rumours linking Mark Webber to Ferrari have been circulating for quite some time, with many believing the Red Bull man may make the switch for the 2013 season. At 35 years-of-age, the Australian wouldn’t provide a long-term solution, but he would be a high quality short-term stopgap, while other targets continue to develop away from the considerable Ferrari spotlight. The team may be tempted by Webber who is unlikely to ‘rock the boat’, thus keeping Alonso happy, and able to consistently secure points finishes.
Sebastian Vettel:
The current World Champion upping sticks and moving to one of his team’s greatest rivals may seem unlikely, however there are rumours linking the German with Ferrari. In some circles it’s believed that Ferrari have approached Vettel on a performance based pre-contract agreement for the 2014 season, adding fuel to the short-term second driver rumours for the next campaign. It’s hard to see an Alonso-Vettel partnership prospering, yet if he were to be available, the lure of lining up two of the world’s top drivers may be tough for Ferrari to resist
Pastor Maldonado:
It may be a little to soon to mention Pastor Maldonado and Ferrari in the same breath, yet the Venezuelan’s victory in Catalunya has led to speculation surrounding a move away from Williams. The South American would increase Ferrari’s worldwide profile, which may tempt the team’s directors, but most importantly he is talented behind the wheel. Alongside his victory in Spain, Maldonado has impressed on multiple occasions, and if it weren’t for a mixture of driver error and mechanical misfortune, he could be even higher in the rankings.

Re: Confirmado : Felipe Massa fuera de Ferrari
Un blog mas tuanis!
Schumacher and Ferrari
It’s the Thursday prior the the Italian Grand Prix, Ferrari calls a press conference to unveil the man who will partner Fernando Alonso in 2013… Michael Schumacher.
The same Michael Schumacher who transformed the outfit from basket-case to powerhouse, is to return to Maranello after three seasons of driving a silver car.
“I’m delighted to say that I will finish my career at Ferrari, I gave the team everything and now I come back they will be able to give the perfect send-off” a beaming Schumacher tells the journalists.
The seven-time champion adds “I’ve come back to my spiritual home to deliver the constructors’ title, I know how important this is to Ferrari, to Italy, if I can do this then my career will be complete.”
Back to reality, Formula One has just commenced a painfully long five-week exodus from racing, with the majority of driver market discussions set to take place in that time.
Schumacher has acknowledged that his return to the sport has been far from ideal, with many critics calling for him to hang up the helmet at the end of 2010, again last season, with opinion divided whether he should re-sign with Mercedes for 2013.
The view of yours’ truly is that he should re-sign, with Ferrari, the name synonymous with Schumacher, and leave the sport on a high.
As it stands, Felipe Massa might have won himself a stay of execution at Ferrari for 2013, but there is still a fair chance that the team’s desire to win the constructors’ title will say otherwise.
There is more chance of HRT scoring a point than Michael Schumacher re-joining Ferrari, but there is something about the prospect of the legend rounding out his career, for a second time, in a red car, that sounds more alluring than in a silver car where he is yet to taste success.
Depending on who you believe, Sebastian Vettel is Maranello bound in 2014.
If this is the case, it would be fitting in so many respects if Schumacher is replaced by the man who idolised him as a child.
Schumacher’s initial 2006-retirement wasn’t on his terms, it has long since been public knowledge that Ferrari President Luca di Montezemolo shunned the man who delivered five-drivers’ titles in favour of Kimi Raikkonen… who di Montezemolo ironically shunned two seasons after the Finn won the 2007 title for Alonso…
It would be Michael Schumacher’s chance to end proceedings on Michael Schumacher’s terms, behind the wheel of a car which enables him to remind the world that he is the most successful driver of all-time.
He deserves that much for all he gave, it is time that Michael Schumacher gets something back, which in turn could see Ferrari get something they desperately want.
If whoever makes the ultimate call on hiring drivers at Ferrari is smart, they will spend the rest of their lives trying to hire Michael Schumacher.
Besides, he always did look better in red.

Ferrari set to announce Massa for 2013 - report
Ferrari is set to announce that Felipe Massa is staying with the famous Italian team in 2013.
Intense speculation has surrounded the future of the Brazilian, who since 2010 has struggled to shine alongside his highly rated teammate Fernando Alonso.
But in an article by veteran correspondent Roger Benoit, the Swiss newspaper Blick said the 31-year-old is staying put in the wake of his recent form surge.
"It (2013) will be his eighth season in red," wrote Benoit.
In Singapore last weekend, Alonso publicly backed Massa, deriding the "little names" that had been linked with his place for next season.
"With all the names you hear, if you compare what Felipe has done and what these little names have done ..." he said.
"In my opinion we need to have a driver that respects Ferrari, that respects the tradition that here we work for the team, for the red cars," added Alonso.

Ver a

http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/103462"There's no doubt that confirming Massa was unthinkable midway through the season, but he is now giving us what we expect of him," he said. "Tomorrow we'll talk and then we'll take a decision.
"Massa went very well in Monza and in Japan; he is back. I've asked him to come to Maranello tomorrow and we'll have a long chat.
"I think he has always given a lot to Ferrari and that he has a good relationship with Alonso. I count on him to take points off our rivals.
"It's true that the car at the beginning of the season had such characteristics that he couldn't drive it, but I've always told him we needed his reaction and from Spa onwards he has begun to go better. He knew he had the team's full support."

Felipe Massa's contract extended
MARANELLO, Italy -- Ferrari extended Felipe Massa's contract for one more season Tuesday, a move that keeps pressure on the Brazilian to perform for the Formula One team.
A brief statement from Ferrari said it had renewed the Brazilian's deal "to the end of the 2013 race season."
"Ferrari is my sporting family and I've always raced in F1 with motors built in Maranello," said Massa, who previously competed with the Sauber team supplied by Ferrari. "I can't see myself at the wheel of a car powered by anyone else."
The announcement came two days after Massa's fourth-place finish in the Korean Grand Prix.
Massa also finished fourth in the Italian GP last month, then took second in the Japanese GP nine days ago for his first podium result in nearly two years.
The 31-year-old Massa hasn't won a race since a life-threatening accident at the Hungarian GP in 2009. He is currently ninth in the drivers' standings.
"He has shown himself to be competitive again and at his best recently, which is what we expect from every Ferrari driver," team principal Stefano Domenicali said. "We've always supported Felipe, even in the toughest times of his career. We're sure of his worth and that he'll know how to repay the confidence we've renewed in him."
Massa's previous deal -- a two-year agreement -- was set to expire at the end of this season.
Massa won a combined 11 races in his first three seasons with Ferrari. Next year will be his eighth season with the team.
Lead Ferrari driver Fernando Alonso is currently in a tight championship battle with Red Bull rival Sebastian Vettel, who hasn't hid his desire to drive for Ferrari one day.
Ferrari president Luca Di Montezemolo addressed the Vettel situation on Monday.
"I don't want to have two roosters in the same henhouse," Montezemolo said. "(I prefer) two drivers who race for Ferrari and not for themselves. I don't want problems and rivalries, which we didn't have between (Michael) Schumacher and (Eddie) Irvine, between Schumacher and (Rubens) Barrichello, between Alonso and Massa or Massa and Schumi or Massa and (Kimi) Raikkonen."
