El piloto de kartismo y automovilismo Juan Ignacio Sansó, fue contratado por el equipo SSC Racing Kart de los Estados Unidos, para correr profesionalmente la presente temporada en la categoría ICA de kartismo. Así lo confirmó “Juani”, quien deberá partir para el norte a finales del mes de enero.

After a brief absence from the Stars of Karting - due to the development of the Rotax Max Challenge program - SSC Racing will be back in 2006 with a full team joined by its premier support team of 2005 - PCH Motorsports. SSC Racing and PCH Motorsports are full partners under a new logo “SSC-PCH Racing” for 2006.
The newly formed team will consist of Mike Speed as Team Manager, Jacob Neal and Garrison Masters driving in the JICA division,Juan Sanso from Costa Rica in ICA and an ICC driver to be named at a later date.
Randy Neal shared his thoughts on the program, “It’s exciting for PCH as well; SSC has been here before and have proven when they make a commitment good things happen. The addition of Mike Speed under our canopy gives us much to celebrate: Mike, who needs no introduction leading the Speed brothers to more karting championships than the law allows and now with (big bother) Scott Speed being the first American in over 20 years to land a seat in F1, will certainly bring a new dimension to our program and be a great benefit to my son Jacob and the rest of the team.”
SSC-PCH Racing will contest the Stars of Karting Western schedule and the North American Karting Championships with both JICA drivers competing in the Eastern division as well. The Neal’s and Speed will be traveling to Europe for a few weeks before the Stars season begins to visit the CRG headquarters in Italy.
“Partnering with PCH is a great opportunity for SSC as we’ve had great experience with PCH being our premier support team and know the level of professionalism they bring to the track which makes us proud to be affiliated with them,” states Joe Ramos - President of SSC Racing.
Longtime Darren Elliott mechanic, Randy Johnson, will also be part of the team as lead mechanic for ICA driver Juan Sanso, who finished eighth at the Rotax Max Grand Finals in November. DJ Silva will be working with JICA driver Garrison Masters with Speed wrenching for Jacob Neal while overseeing what happens under the SSC-PCH tent. Neal finished the 2005 season with a big JICA win at the Stars Finale in Austin.
“Someone was looking out for me when I got the call from Joe Ramos. They say timing is everything and Joe picked the perfect time, I’m thrilled to be working with SSC-PCH Racing and knowing we have the full support from the CRG factory makes it that much sweeter,” stated Mike Speed. “Randy, Jacob and I will be heading to Italy to visit CRG where we will spend a few weeks racing while learning a bunch from Team CRG. I’m thrilled, after all CRG is one of the most respected race kart teams on the planet and I’m going to be there taking it all in.”

El piloto costarricense de kartismo Juan Ignasio Sanso partirá este 13 de febrero a lo que será su primera participación oficial con su nuevo equipo de kartismo profesional de los Estados Unidos, SSC Racing.
