Nürburgring 24hour next week...
Ex-F1 star Heinz Harald Frentzen has been testing the new hybrid Apollo tonight at the Nurburgring Nordschleife.

He makes that cockpit look really big...
Powered by a combination of both 660bhp+ twin-turbo V8 and 100kW electric motor, this crazy 4WD beast will be up against the usual GT3 RSRs and BMW GTRs in a bid for glory.
V8 Twin-Turbo... and Lithium Ion batteries?
Apparently only just finished last night, Frentzen's team has their work cut out. The electric system recharged the 190kg battery array through application of the brakes. Charge status and battery performance is relayed via satellite to the pit garage.
Clean burn: Sports cat in each exhaust is clearly up to temperature.
The electrics were clearly working tonight as HH drove to the barrier in complete silence. It's not clear how the motors will work in the race, but judging on tonights performance they'll be perfect for pitlane use. Especially when trying to run over a rival team's pit crew. They'll never hear it coming!
