Lastima que no les fue nada bien

Mae me parece que un 5 o 6 lugar (no recuerdo) despues de tanto tiempo fuera no es nada despreciable para su primer carrera

Sumado a una clasificación de tercer lugar y ser los mas rápidos en dos practicas libres... No es ser envenenado pero ninguno de lso abandonos fue por fallas mecanicas, sino por circunstancias de carrera... Vamos a ver como les va el fin de semana!

Tampoco es que BM ha estado fuera de los motores, han dominado varias carreras, 24h Nurburgring 2011 y en la yunai tambien han estado al frente con RLL en Grand Am.

Ya llegara la revancha. POr mucho el mas bonito de la parrilla, excepto algunos colores, pero bueno, no todo podia ser bueno.

Bueno al parecer dieron la sorpresa... 1-2 en la salida de la carrera de mañana! Buenos tiempos y mas de 15 carros en el mismo segundo!

El equipo Rahal Letterman Lanigan no participa en la serie Grand Am, lo hace en la American Le Mans.

Estuvo bonita la carrera y el DTM siempre es muy interesante. Valdría la pena abrir un tema para postear las carreras y así poder verlas con calma, porque en speed a veces no las puedo ver.

Bueno, pasó el fin de semana pasado y por aquí todavía no se ha comentado al respecto... pero BMW logró el campeonato de la DTM en su año de regreso, tanto el título de pilotos como el de constructores. El piloto campeón es el canadiense Bruno Spengler, que le ganó el pulso a Gary Paffett de Mercedes en la última fecha en el Hockenheimring.

It all started at the Belgian Zolder track in 1984. Driving a BMW 635 CSi, Harald Grohs earned the Bavarian marque’s first victory in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, better known as the DTM, setting off a string of 54 total wins, with No. 54 delivering the Drivers’ and Manufacturers’ titles for Canada’s Bruno Spengler with the factory BMW Team Schnitzer team last weekend in Hockenheim.

After a prolonged absence from the DTM, BMW signed on for a return in 2012 under the new cost-controlled series and displaced championship stalwarts Audi and Mercedes-Benz in its first try with ex-Mercedes driver Spengler serving as its ace in the hole.



“The finale in Hockenheim was the crowning moment in what has been a perfect season for us,” said BMW Motorsport Director Jens Marquardt. “With his fourth win of the season, Bruno Spengler actually managed to win the Drivers’ title in BMW’s first year back in the DTM for 20 years. That is a sensational success, on which on behalf of BMW Motorsport I would like to congratulate Bruno and, of course, BMW Team Schnitzer.

“The fact Charly Lamm’s crew also finished top of the team competition and BMW won the Manufacturers’ Championship is the icing on the cake. BMW Team Schnitzer was also behind our last DTM title back in 1989. It is an absolutely unbelievable story that Charly and his boys are back on top almost a quarter of a century later.”



For 29-year-old Spengler, earning his first championship in his eighth season was a crowning achievement.

“I can hardly believe we have won the title with BMW in our first year back in the DTM. Congratulations to my rival Gary Paffett, who performed brilliantly throughout the entire season and put up a fair fight,” said the Quebecois. “He would also have been a worthy champion. He is a great sportsman. He put me under a lot of pressure in the final race today. Once again, everything went exactly to plan today. In a race, in which we were under extreme pressure, the team did another amazing job on the pitstops. You never win on your own – only as part of a team.

“I am totally confused and have no idea how I should be feeling. Standing on the top step of the podium, raising the trophy to the sky and seeing all the many fans cheering for me is an amazing experience. I have waited for this for so many years. It is simply sensational.”

Así es, espectacular este regreso de BMW, nadie se lo esperaba de esta manera, se lo llevaron todo, Augusto Farfus el premio de Rookie of the Year, Schnitzer Motorsport el campeonato de equipos, BMW el de marcas y como dice Pedro, Bruno Spengler el de pilotos.

Todo el año fue increíble, la verdad es cierto, tenia tiempillo de no meterme por acá pero recuerdo este tema al inicio del año y nadie hubiera apostado por esto!!!

Lo mejor se quedó para el final de la temporada!
