Las actividades de motociclismo denunciadas por varios medios de comunicación durante este fin de semana no están ligadas a los entrenamientos avalados por nuestra federación.
Primeramente, los eventos denunciados no corresponden a la modalidad de Motocross, además ninguna de esas pistas corresponden a la lista de lugares autorizados por la Federación de Motociclismo Costarricense ni por la Asociación Motoclub para realizar los entrenamientos autorizados bajo un estricto protocolo, el cual cuenta con el aval de las autoridades de salud y del Ministerio del Deporte.
Por último las personas participantes de estas actividades NO SON PILOTOS federados, o sea no corresponden a ninguna de las modalidades deportivas que representa la Federación de Motociclismo Costarricense.
Federación de Motociclismo Costarricense recuerda que cuenta con una lista de pistas autorizadas para las prácticas de las diferentes modalidades. Estas pistas cuentan con un estricto protocolo de ingreso, comportamiento, distanciamiento y medidas higiénicas.
Nuestros pilotos federados conocen este protocolo y lo aplican al pie de la letra para seguir contando con el beneficio de realizar entrenamientos.
El guatemalteco Mateo Llarena debutó hoy en la Porsche Mobil 1 Super Cup y, con 16 años, cuatro meses y nueve das, se convirtió en el piloto más joven en disputar una carrera en los 25 años de historia de la copa monomarca más exigente del mundo. Llarena partió de la posición 21 y finalizó la carera en el decimonoveno lugar, entre los 25 pilotos que tomaron la salida. La prueba disputada en el Red Bull Ring de Spielberg (Austria) fue dominada de principio a fin por Porsche Junior Jaxon Evans (BWT Lechner Racing)
“Quedé impresionado con el nivel que tienen todos los pilotos en esta copa que es la más exigente y prestigiosa de todas las monomarca para vehículos GT”, dijo Llarena. “Todos los integrantes del equipo MRS GT-Racing me apoyaron de la mejor manera y el 911 GT3 Cup se comportó a la altura de lo que esperaba; es un gran auto que camina, frena y cruza muy bien”.
Por su parte, el neozelandés Evans, que salió desde la pole position y lideró durante las 17 vueltas dijo tras la carrera: “Un comienzo perfecto para la temporada. La primera carrera con mi nuevo equipo y la primera victoria; creo que puedo seguir así”, sonrió Evans, quien terminó menos de un segundo por delante de su compañero de equipo Dylan Pereira. «Cambié un par de detalles sobre la configuración de la suspensión entre la clasificación y la carrera y eso funcionó muy bien», dijo el luxemburgués, que comenzó desde el cuarto lugar en la parrilla y rápidamente recuperó dos lugares en la primera vuelta.
Con Leon Köhler viendo la bandera en tercer lugar, el escuadrón del legendario director del equipo austriaco, Walter Lechner, celebró un triple éxito en su carrera en casa. El joven de 20 años nacido en Bavaria también fue el más rápido de los nueve novatos. «Realmente no esperaba esto», dijo Köhler algo sorprendido por su propia actuación. “Pude igualar fácilmente el ritmo de mis dos compañeros de equipo. Veamos si puedo hacerlo aún mejor en la próxima carrera”.
Llarena, que llegó 38 segundos y 323 milésimas de Evans, tuvo un promedio de velocidad de 163 kilómetros y 174 metros por hora durante las 17 vueltas de la carrera. Su giro más rápido fue el séptimo, cuando dio la vuelta a los 4 kilómetros 318 metros del Red Bull Ring en 1.33.468.
“Para mí fue un resultado muy bueno”, dijo Llarena. “Para la segunda carrera, que también será en Austria, espero seguir mejorando como piloto, tratar de hacer mejor uso de las llantas nuevas en la clasificación y obtener un mejor resultado en la prueba”.

Stuttgart. La abreviatura ‘GTS’ significa el arte de la construcción de motores clásicos. Conversamos con el responsable de los modelos 718, Jan Roth, sobre la nueva versión cumbre de esta gama. Roth empezó a trabajar en Porsche en octubre de 1996 y ha estado involucrado en la gama 718 desde sus comienzos. Dice de sus autos que “los deportivos de motor central siempre han demostrado sus ventajas en las curvas cerradas y horquillas”
Sr. Roth, ¿cuál es la historia detrás de las tres letras ‘GTS’? ‘GTS’ significa ‘Gran Turismo Sport’. Este término fue acuñado en la década de 1960 con el primer modelo, el 904 Carrera GTS, un auto de carreras en el sentido clásico del término. Porsche quería llevar este vehículo a la carretera y convertirlo en un auto adecuado para trayectos largos. El resultado fue el GTS, que se podía homologar y era más cómodo.
Cuando se aplica a los modelos GTS de hoy, esto significa que realmente podrían correr en pista… Sí, exactamente. Queda claro con el Cayman y el Boxster, por su amplio margen entre reacciones deportivas y uso cotidiano. En términos de las actuales versiones GTS, el principio es el opuesto al de los años 60. En 2007, cuando lanzamos Cayenne GTS al mercado (el primer GTS del siglo XXI), quisimos darle un carácter más deportivo. Esto también fue implementado en los modelos Panamera, Boxster y Macan.
¿Qué posición ocupa el GTS 4.0 en la familia 718? El GTS siempre viene un nivel más arriba de la versión básica y de la versión S. Cuando lanzamos el GTS de 2.5 litros, al mismo tiempo estábamos desarrollando el motor de cuatro litros y seis cilindros para el GT4 y el Spyder, en la parte alta de la gama. Incluso en aquellos días, hubo consideraciones sobre usar ese motor en otro modelo como una versión ligeramente reducida. Esto evolucionó en el GTS 4.0, el modelo superior y adecuado para el uso diario, por así decirlo.
Está hablando de los 911. ¿Qué supone la gama 718 en el mundo de los Porsche? La variante básica del 718 es el modelo de entrada al mundo Porsche. Un número relativamente grande de compradores avanza luego a las variantes superiores, el S y el GTS. Después, muy a menudo, el siguiente paso es el 911. Pero afirmaciones como estas siempre dependen del mercado específico.
¿En qué se diferencian los mercados? En China, por ejemplo, tenemos una edad media de los clientes de 32 años, con mucho, la más joven, y el mayor porcentaje de mujeres con un 56%. China ya es uno de los mayores mercados para los 718. Esto se debe en parte a los impuestos por cilindrada allí, que son relativamente bajos en el motor de dos litros y cuatro cilindros.
¿Cuáles son las tres principales razones de compra en los distintos mercados? En China, nuestro concepto nos ha ayudado a ganar ventaja sobre muchos competidores en este segmento. Como estamos posicionados en un segmento que está dentro de las posibilidades económicas de muchos clientes, tenemos el 80 por ciento de la cuota de mercado en esa parcela. Una cifra totalmente asombrosa. Los clientes chinos destacan el diseño exterior, la reputación de la marca y la afirmación “se adapta a mis necesidades” como sus principales razones para comprar un 718.
¿Y en los Estados Unidos? Allí las prestaciones son la máxima prioridad, seguidas del diseño exterior y la lealtad a la marca. En Alemania, el diseño exterior es lo más importante, seguido de las prestaciones y el tipo de carrocería, es decir, el concepto de dos asientos con motor central. Todo muy similar como pueden ver.
Volviendo al GTS 4.0, ¿cómo presentaría este modelo a un comprador potencial? Ofrece un gran conjunto, con todo lo necesario para tener una óptima máquina deportiva, tanto en la pista como en el uso diario en carretera. También tiene una gran apariencia y un excelente sonido, gracias a su motor de seis cilindros. Sin mencionar que el auto es también una inversión financieramente atractiva.
