Mitsubishi 2006 Eclipse Ralliart at 2005 SEMA

Eclipse Ralliart Concept

Ralliart is the motorsports arm of Mitsubishi Motors Corporation. Worldwide, Ralliart vehicles feature enhanced performance, specialty equipment and sporty styling elements that include more powerful engines, sport-tuned suspensions as well as special fascia and styling cues. The best-selling import coupe for the past 15 years, Eclipse was redesigned for 2006 –and Mitsubishi design engineers wasted no time giving Eclipse the Ralliart treatment.
“To be considered Ralliart, a vehicle must offer improved engine performance and handling, sportier styling, interior enhancements and bold paint,” explained Dan Sims, general manager of MMNA’s design center. “The Eclipse Ralliart concept passes that test with flying colors.”
Special attention was paid to increasing horsepower and torque, adding all-wheel drive capability for improved power in a variety of driving conditions while minimizing weight. To boost horsepower to an estimated 400 hp, a turbocharged 4G63 engine was borrowed from the Lancer Evolution and supplemented with a custom air intake and other HKS performance parts. The concept Eclipse’s rally prowess is enhanced with the all-wheel drive system currently available on the Endeavor and Lancer Evolution as well as a six-speed manual transmission. Lightweight carbon fiber was used extensively in the roof, hood, fascias and front fenders.
The custom exterior is enhanced by Hot Red Mica paint, specially formulated by PPG for this concept. The Eclipse Ralliart rides on 20-inch high-performance carbon fiber wheels with AVS Sport Yokohama tires. Interior enhancements include Recaro performance seats trimmed with leather and Alcanterra suede, four-point restraints, racing gauges and a Rockford Fosgate premium sound system.

B&B Volkswagen Polo 9N3 GTI

For the new VW Polo 9N3 the VW & AUDI performance tuning company B&B (http://www.bb-automobiltechnik.de) is able to fall back on over ten years experience in tuning the Polo’s 1.8 Turbo engine, an engine found in many VW & AUDI models which B&B have successfully been enhancing.

At the entry level engine power is increased to 195 hp for the price of EUR 998,-. This is achieved by a change in the electronics whereby boost is slightly increased and the electronic injection maps are readjusted. In the following stages engine power is heaved to 210, 245, and 260 hp and finally incredible 300 hp and 410 Nm at the last, EVO R stage. To achieve these performance levels our B&B technicians exchange the standard 1.8L motor against a completely modified engine with new B&B special pistons, connecting rods, a special cylinder head and a large turbocharger. Extensive changes to the charge air cooling and and the injection system are also undertaken. To further reduce exhaust gas temperature and back pressure a special exhaust system has been developed for the Race-Polo with a large downpipe and a high-performance racing catalyst. Oil temperature is always kept at an optimal state through the installation of a thermostat-controlled Slim-Line oil cooler. Our extremely powerful Polo GTI blasts from 0-100km/h in 5.8 seconds and speed limitation doesn’t set in until 254km/h. To secure optimal safety at these extreme speed levels B&B has developed height adjustable coilover suspension sets in different variations and high-performance brake systems, which keep the Polo safe and on track. Exclusive wheels in 17” and 18” dimensions as well as an eye-catching, muscular body-styling kit round off and complete the exterior look of this small albeit massively powerful Polo GTI.

High-Performance Lexus IS 500 Coupe
M3 and CLK55 AMG fighter

At the Geneva Motor Show 2005 Toyota debuted with the replacement for the Lexus IS compact sedan. Now the Japanese car maker is working on a high performance coupe version, according to rumours dubbed IS 500. Most likely it is powered by a 4.3 litre V8 32 valve engine delivery approximately 300 HP. This car is set to become a rival against models like BMW M3 and Mercedes CLK 55 AMG.

Toyota sells a huge range of cars in Japan from small economy models to high-end luxury sedans. But only lately has it introduced the Lexus name in the Japanese home market where even luxury cars have previously carried the Toyota name. As part of the new brand’s introduction, the company is coming out with a wide range of new models over the next few years to carry the Lexus name both at home and abroad. Recent new Lexus models have shown the company’s direction towards high performance while still offering high levels of luxury.

The test vehicle in the photos is an early prototype built using the production body panels of a current Japanese market model, the Toyota Crown Royal. Note that the car has right-hand drive, typical of vehicles sold in Japan. The Crown Royal makes a perfect mule for development of a high-performance model since it already has a V8 engine and offers a choice of rear or all wheel drive, so all these vital powertrain pieces fit easily. Next the body was shortened, bringing it down to the length of its future coupe configuration. Note the section just behind the car’s B-pillar, in which several inches of length were cut out of the rear doors and the roof. Shortening the car’s platform down to the length of the final car allows high-performance driving tests to be done with the car’s correct wheelbase and weight distribution.

Also note the numerous modifications that indicate high-performance nature of the future model, including the quad exhaust pipes, rear deck spoiler and the sporty alloy wheels shod with very low-profile tires.

Since a complete real prototype of the new IS 500 Coupe has not yet been photographed, below is a computer generated image suggesting how the new model could look like upon its release latest in two years time from now.

Lumma CLR3 RS based on BMW 320d

Well-known BMW customizer Lumma from Winterling fits the current 3-series E90 with a new, elegantly proportioned styling kit, transforming it into the CLR3 RS. At the same time, the specialist tunes the 2-litre diesel engine of this mid-range saloon.
The heart of the modifications is the power increase of the 2-litre diesel. Lumma uses the D-box (750 euros) to breathe 145 kW/198 bhp into this turbo-charged compression ignition vehicle and boost the torque to 395 Nm, thus making this saloon significantly punchier.
After attaching the Lumma body styling components, the 320d transformed into the CLR3 RS, looks a great deal more powerful - without giving the impression of being excessively "souped up". This is because Lumma has been careful to only emphasize and not to distort the lines of this 3-series saloon. For example, with its racing grille and five air intakes, the front bumper made from PU RIM for 810 euros blends harmoniously into the basic design, signalling the driver in front to move over and give way. By fitting the TÜV-exempt headlight lens covers of ABS plastic, Lumma lends the front of this BMW a more serious look, which should further improve its overtaking prestige. Costing 406 euros each, as its pièce de résistance, Lumma fits two extremely light wing assemblies from fibre-composite materials, into which louvres have been integrated. These "gills" are reminiscent of the M version of this 3-series BMW and only add to its sporty appearance.
The sporty theme is continued on the sides by fitting electrically adjustable and heated sports mirrors in the M look for 599 euros in addition to a TÜV-exempt set of side sills from PU RIM for 562 euros, which are attached to the original fastening points. As regards the rear end, a roof edge spoiler for 289 euros and a three-piece rear spoiler lip - one section for the boot lid, and a section on each side of the rear (for the price of 463 euros) help to reduce lift. Thanks to a TÜV-exempt licence plate holder, which is secured with glue, it is possible to style the rear view of this 3-series BMW further in the M look. To round things off, Lumma equips the standard-fitted rear apron with a rear apron attachment that simply oozes power (520 euros). Occupying its cutouts on the left and right are the two mirror-finished (and sporting the Lumma logo) 90 mm thick stainless steel pipes of a sports rear silencer - naturally with EC type approval - made from stainless steel. It is currently in preparation and the CLR3 RS will shortly announce its arrival loudly with this wherever it goes.
Lumma further enhances the driving dynamics of this 3-series BMW by fitting a KW coilover suspension for the price of 1199 euros. Added to this, the BMW tuner equips the CLR3 RS with the set of wheels consisting of "Lumma Race" wheel rims in the dimension 9.5x20" with Kumho size 245/30-20 tyres at the front and size 285/25-20 tyres at the rear. The price for the complete set of wheels: from 5500 euros.

Honda Civic Si Sport Concept and Ridgeline Street Sport at SEMA

More than 50 Honda and Acura project and concept vehicles have invaded the Specialty Equipment Market Association’s (SEMA) annual show in Las Vegas, a trend-setting industry venue for the automotive specialty equipment market, where Honda has the prestigious distinction of being named the “Vehicle Manufacturer of the Show” (VMOS) and the Civic Si is the official “Car of the Show.”
Dozens of Honda- and Acura-supported project vehicles, combined with hundreds of other display vehicles, demonstrate the many extremes of customization and personalization that range from ultra high-performance to the ultimate in sound and style. Highlights include the world debuts of the Sport Concept Civic Si, a concept vehicle by Honda, and the Team Honda Research Civic Si racecar that will compete in endurance road racing events. A total of 19 2006 Civic Si project vehicles are on display that have been modified by such popular aftermarket tuners as AEM/DC Sports, Mackin, GReddy, Tein, Hasport and many more.
“Our high level of participation in the SEMA show this year sends a strong message to performance enthusiasts,” said John Mendel, senior vice president of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “We’re showing that Honda is serious about delivering desirable products that perform well out of the box and create the perfect platform for personalization.”
Bridging the gap from show car to road car, a new line of Honda Factory Performance™ (HFP™) suspension and body kits is being unveiled for the 2006 Civic Si, Civic Sedan and Civic Coupe. The new HFP kits feature performance-oriented suspension components along with larger wheels, tires, aerodynamic body kits and, for the first time ever, an HFP muffler.
Honda is the first non-domestic automaker to be named VMOS, a designation that will further elevate Honda’s presence among the hundreds of thousands of automotive industry insiders who will attend the four-day show starting today at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
"Honda vehicles are among the most popular in the automotive specialty equipment market," said Christopher J. Kersting, SEMA president and CEO. "Honda’s role as Vehicle Manufacturer of the Show will allow Honda to maintain a strong presence in this market now and in the future.”
Honda’s designation as VMOS coincides with a major milestone in the evolution of one of the most respected cars of the sport compact performance movement: the Honda Civic Si.
Reasserting its role as class-leading sport compact, the recently debuted 2006 Civic Si bursts onto the scene with a 197-horsepower DOHC 2.0-liter i-VTEC engine, 6-speed manual transmission, a limited slip differential, and a performance-oriented exhaust system.
Demonstrating the tremendous performance potential of the Civic platform, the new Civic Si is destined to be known as the best handling and most powerful Civic to ever touch tire to asphalt in America.
Honda is unveiling the “Sport Concept Civic Si” and is highlighting a number of Honda vehicles that have been built especially for the show. Among these are a dozen 2006 Civic Si show cars that have been delivered to sport compact vehicle builders across the country. Selecting from hundreds of proposals, Honda chose the very best designs and provided builders with the new Si. The stunning creations are on display throughout the convention hall.
The high performance 2006 Civic Si once again emphasizes Honda’s credentials as a leading performance innovator. Beginning in the early 1980s, performance builders and racers recognized the potential of Honda engines to radically re-shape the high performance field. At a time when V-8 engines were considered the only performance option, 4-cylinder Honda Civics began to get noticed as they won races and set speed records. By the late 1980s, the Honda Civic had become one of the most popular vehicles of the sport compact performance movement that was just taking root and would later explode in popularity throughout the 1990s.

HAMANN BMW M5

Welcome to the 300 km/h-Club

Elegant aerodynamics kit
327 km/h top speed thanks to Vmax override
up to 603 hp and 574 Nm by sport-kit installation
Various wheel sets in 19, 20 and 21 inch designs

HAMANN, by trade a top-class tuning specialist for BMW vehicles, is crowning its tuning suite for this brand with its latest creation. It is daring to touch the top model amongst the Bavarian saloons, namely the M5.
The high-revving 5 litre V10 with 507 bhp and 520 Nm is not allowed to show off the full effects of its power in the series version. But just how fast might the M5 be able to race? HAMANN supplies the answer: 327 km/h, which is achieved solely by means of Vmax override. For those who are not satisfied with this and who desire even more power, HAMANN offers now a solution. The Laupheim-based tuner provides the M5 with a sports-kit composed of high-performance headers, sports metal catalysts, a engine map optimisation and a Vmax-override. The 10-cylinder engine then produces lordly 603 hp and 574 Nm.
HAMANN adorns the exterior of the M5 with aerodynamic components. For example, a front spoiler, which is attached to the standard front spoiler, helps to create greater downforce. Alternatively, this can also be achieved by a new, sportier front spoiler, whose built-in ellipsoid fog lights lend the “face” of the BMW more character. The sides of the M5 are edged with subtle side sills, which make the saloon appear even more powerful. Characterised by a diffusor the HAMANN rear panel with cut-out for the HAMANN 4-pipe-rear silencer teem with sportiness. The roof is crowned by a roof spoiler, which also helps to ensure that the M5 remains firmly on the road at high speeds. Further downforce is generated by the rear spoiler that is harmoniously integrated into the vehicle contours. More dynamic than the standard-fitted mirrors are the sports mirrors offered by HAMANN for all left-hand drive cars, which are electrically adjustable and heated, and optionally also electrically folding. All parts, except the front apron, HAMANN offers also in carbon-kevlar.
Four stainless steel tailpipes, each with a 76 mm diameter, are a sign of the HAMANN 4-pipe sports rear silencer. Its sound – which is enough to give you goosebumps – emphasizes the sheer power of this saloon. But beware – the risk of acoustic addiction is extremely high!
A suspension lowering kit with progressive-action suspension springs is used for lowering the body. This brings the HAMANN-M5 30 mm closer to the tarmac at the front and 25 mm lower at the rear. Anyone who paid attention during physics can imagine just what is required to slow down a vehicle travelling at high speed. The HAMANN engineers have certainly done their homework and have given the BMW a sports braking system on the front axle.
It is composed of 2 slotted and inside-vented brake discs, 380 mm in diameter and 34 mm thick, 2 HAMANN eight-piston fixed calliper brakes in red (other colours are of course available on request), special brake pads, flexible steel brake pipes and adaptors, plus the complete fastening hardware. Fitted with braking equipment such as this, nothing stands in the way of pushing the dial on the speedometer past the 250 km/h mark.
Customers are spoilt for choice when it comes to the HAMANN range of wheels. The tuning specialists from Laupheim offer no fewer than five wheel types in 19 to 21 inch versions. A single-piece wheel rim in the “HM2” design is good for starters. It is available in the dimensions 8.5 J x 19 (for front and rear axle) and in 10 J x 19 (rear axle only). The five-spoke wheel rim is available in the version “Silber” (silver) and can be supplied fitted with size 255/40 ZR 19 tyres (front) and size 285/35 ZR 19 tyres (rear). Moving up a level is the single-piece light alloy wheel “Anniversary I”, which has the appearance of a composite wheel. Also available in the version “Silber”, this 19 inch wheel gleams in a multi-spoke design with its rim flange featuring a mirror-finish INOX stainless steel lip. The dimensions and tyre combinations correspond to those of the “HM2” wheel. HAMANN also offers the “Anniversary I” design as a 20 inch version. The dimensions are then 9 J x 20 for use on the front and rear axle and 10.5 J x 20, which can only be used for the rear axle. The tyre combination typically offered by HAMANN measures 255/35 ZR 20 at the front and 285/30 ZR 20 at the rear.
To get started in the composite wheel rim segment, HAMANN offers its “PG2” wheel design. Its striking five-spoke design stands out pleasantly from the crowd. This wheel, which is available in “Silber” with a mirror-finish, exchangeable INOX stainless steel lip, can be supplied for the front and rear axle in the dimensions 8.5 J x 19 and for the rear axle in 10 J x 19. HAMANN combines the two sizes with each other and fits them with size 255/40 ZR 19 and 285/35 ZR 19 tyres. It is possible to order the “PG3” wheel in a 19 or 20 inch design. The silver wheel is impressive with its classic five-spoke outfit and mirror-finish INOX stainless steel lip. Sizes for the front and rear axle: 9 J x 19 or 9 J x 20. The dimensions 10 J x 19 and 10.5 J x 20 are designed exclusively for use on the rear axle. HAMANN also recommends a combination of 9 J and 10 J, respectively 9 J and 10.5 J and supplies complete sets of wheels with tyres in the sizes 255/40 ZR 19 and 285/35 ZR 19 in addition to 255/35 ZR 20 and 285/30 ZR 20.
The range is crowned by the HAMANN 21 inch light alloy wheel design "EDITION RACE", for the front axle in the dimension 9.0 J x 21 available with size 255/30-21 tyres, for the rear axle in 10.5 J x 21 with size 295/25-21 tyres. Needless to say, HAMANN also offers sets of shims and anti-theft systems with lockable wheel bolts for the rims.
The tuning specialist from Laupheim also offers various accessories for the M5. For instance, by fitting an interior set made from carbon for the dashboard and centre console, customers can add a touch of racing car atmosphere to their cockpits. This effect is augmented by various aluminium components. For example, HAMANN offers a driver’s footrest made from this light metal, a hand brake lever and the complete set of pedals to match. An exclusive set of floor mats bearing the HAMANN logo in silver is also part of the interior range. Needless to say, HAMANN will also customise any M5 according to each customer’s specific requests. By way of example, extravagant leather upholsteries in various colours are possible. As are extensive multimedia conversions with DVD, TV or Playstation, for example.

Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren

Top-class technology for 21st-century Gran Turismo
High-torque V8 compressor engine with 460 kW/626 hp output
0 to 62.5 mph in 3.8 seconds
World's first series-produced car to have carbon fibre front crash structure
High-performance brake discs made from fibre-reinforced ceramic
Back in the mid-1950s the three letters SLR acquired a hallowed status, as a Mercedes-Benz racing car of that name set new standards in the world of high-class Gran Turismo vehicles. Visually breathtaking and, thanks to innovative technology, superior to its rivals in terms of performance and handling, it spawned a legend.

Mercedes-Benz and McLaren have successfully imbued the new Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren (due to make its debut in autumn 2003) with the same charismatic qualities. Just like its legendary predecessor of 1955, this SLR incorporates new technological developments which are ahead of their time. For evidence, simply take a glance under the bonnet at the Mercedes-AMG V8 powerplant. With its 5.5-litre displacement and screw-type compressor, the engine develops a peak output of 460 kW/626 hp and delivers its maximum torque of 780 Nm from 3250 rpm – a figure which remains constant across a broad engine speed range of up to 5000 rpm. With this kind of power under the bonnet, the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren delivers performance figures which are among the best in its class: this high-performance sports car takes just 3.8 seconds to sprint from 0 to 62.5 mph, it passes the 124 mph mark after 10.6 seconds, and from a standing start it takes just 28.8 seconds to reach 186 mph. The two-seater has a top speed of 208 mph (334 km/h) (provisional figure).

In the interests of optimum weight distribution, optimum dynamic handling and high stability on braking, the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren has a front mid-engined design. The V8 powerplant is mounted on a robust aluminium frame and has a low installation position. Water-type charge-air cooling, three valves per cylinder, dry sump lubrication and four metal catalytic converters are further special features of this powerful engine – an engine which already meets stringent EU 4 exhaust gas regulations which are not due to come into force until 2005.

2006 Nissan 350Z

It’s only been on sale in Europe for two years, but time moves swiftly in a 350Z. The latest round of changes – which include a significant power boost, subtly revised looks and an improved interior – have been made to keep Nissan’s global sports car at the top of its game.
Quote: “In two short years, the 350Z has established itself as one of the most focused, capable and thrilling sports cars available on the European market. Its popularity has also helped SHIFT_ Nissan’s image: we are now rightly seen as a car maker with passion. And that’s a position that can only get stronger with the latest coupé and Roadster versions of the Z-car.”
Carlos Tavares, Executive Vice President, Product Planning and Corporate Strategy, Nissan Motor Company
At a glance
• More power from higher revving engine (300PS and 7000 RPM max)
• Refreshed exterior with:
• Restyled front end
• New look headlamps and LED tail-lamps
• New-look five spoke alloys
• Improved interior with:
• Repositioned switchgear
• Soft-feel materials
• Greater storage opportunities
• Factory-fitted navigation option
• Speed dependent power steering
• Standard Bluetooth phone integration (coupé only)

Summary
In little more than two years, the 350Z has won the hearts of performance car buyers right across Europe as a focused, no compromise sports car.
And now it’s even better. The 2006 model year 350Z has subtly revised looks, a higher quality interior with better ergonomics and more storage space, revised power steering and a new factory fitted satellite navigation option. Best of all, there’s more power – up from 280PS to a serious 300PS.
Although the car’s top speed remains electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph) the time taken for the 0-100 km/h sprint (0-62 mph) has fallen to just 5.8 seconds (6.3 for the Roadster).
The result underpins the 350Z’s place as one of the world’s best-loved sports cars. Since its launch in 2002, when sales were initially restricted to North America and Japan, the latest in a long line of Nissan ‘Z-cars’ has gone on to be offered in 95 countries world-wide. Around 160,000 examples have been sold globally to date.
It has also become hugely popular in Europe, where the 350Z coupé – specifically tuned for European tastes – arrived in late 2003 and was joined by the Roadster in March 2005. In just two years more than 12,500 examples of the iconic two-seater coupé have been sold to enthusiastic European owners with a further 2,500 sales accounted for by the critically acclaimed roadster.
Today, the sales split between the two models is around 60/40 per cent in favour of the coupé, with UK buyers leading the charge ahead of German and French sports car fans.
Winning multi awards from Europe’s top specialist magazines – and more than 40 awards globally – the ‘Z-car’ has catapulted Nissan right back into the heart of the ultra competitive sports car market, despite having been away from the segment for the best part of a decade.
Indeed, in just three years, global sales of the 350Z have already matched the total volume achieved by its predecessor, the 300ZX ‘Z32’ – a feat which took that model some 11 years to achieve.
In Europe, the sales story is even more impressive as the vast majority of cars – some 95 per cent in 2005 – have been sold in Pack guise, which adds electrically operated and heated leather seats, cruise control and a premium Bose-developed audio system to the mix. But then, even with the added cost of the Pack version, the 350Z remains one of the most affordable cars in its market segment.
Shinjiro Yukawa, Chief Product Specialist, said: “The Z is a car that is loved and sold not only in Japan but on a global scale. We take pride in the fact that Nissan is the only Japanese car maker that can offer such an international, world-class sports car.
“But a sports car’s development does not end with its release and sale. We believe it is vital for a sports car to continue to evolve.
“We set high objectives and poured our enthusiasm into the new Z, as it was the symbol of Nissan’s revival. But our work did not finish when it was released. Each year since its launch we have ensured the Z continues to shine, and the changes made for the latest evolution are no exception: the 350Z is a shining symbol of Nissan’s enthusiasm and passion.”

Muy interesante y refrescante el tema, en lo personal yo me inclino por los carritos europeos y de una vez aqui les dejo mi aporte 8)

BMW E30 M3

The BMW E30 M3 signaled war against the Mercedes Benz 190E2.3/16V in the DTM (Deutsche Tourenmeisterschaft) race series. Both models were the pinnacles of the highly contested entry level German car business of the mid to late 80’s. This was a true fight against two direct competitors only separated by a stretch of Autobahn between Swabia and Bavaria. The FIA mandated a minimum of changes but allowed modifications to the drive train, engine and body. BMW easily sold all 5,000 production M3’s required to enter DTM. They even sold a few special editions like the M3 Evo II & III that took the formula even further. Engine displacement increased from 2.3 liters to 2.5 liters pushing 238hp. They also added enlarged wheels, spoilers, and fender flares to improve grip, stability, and drag.
On the racetrack, the M3 won many races and held the honor for the employees at BMW Motorsports Division. Don’t forget these are some of the same individuals who helped develop the M1, M5, and the V10 F1 engine, which has shown that they can beat their competitors like Mercedes, Ferrari, and Ford (Jaguar) on a regular basis. What does this all mean to its road going competitors of the day like the Lancia Delta, Cosworth Ford, and the previously mentioned 190E2.316V? It meant from a driving standpoint this car was superior.

Ex F1-driver and newly hired Mercedes DTM racer Jean Alesi once rated the E30 M3 as one of most enjoyable best handling road cars he has ever owned. Balance is instantly recognizable due to its 48/52-weight distribution. The steering is telepathic in choosing the correct line. The chassis is alive giving the car a personality, which is missing from many of today’s mundane cars. With only 2600 lbs to move around, the quick and responsive maneuverability of this vehicle can quickly put a smile on one’s face.

Hartge Delimiting BMW M5

At last, something many M5 fans have long been waiting for is now possible: delimiting the top speed to raise it from 250 to 320 km/h. To this end, HARTGE has developed a supplementary module that (with no driver-training course) enables every M5 driver to experience his or her desire for maximum speed.

To ensure this enormous power reaches the road perfectly and, in particular, with adequate reserves of safety, attention must be paid to the speed index of the tyres and, if necessary, replacements fitted:

For example, the HARTGE CLASSIC 2 set of wheels (9.5 x 21'' with 255 / 30 ZR 21 tyres at the front and 10.5 x 21'' with 295 / 25 ZR 21 tyres at the back) coupled with a set of HARTGE sports springs that lower the M5 by 30 mm.

Additional, special new parts for the M5 from HARTGE provide for an enhanced appearance and, in the first case, a better sound: a stainless-steel rear silencer with dual tail pipes (optionally round or oval) and the new front-spoiler lip and rear trim panel in diffuser look.

Moreover, for drivers who also want to have the new and exclusive look within their field of vision, there is the ergonomically designed HARTGE 3-spoke leather steering wheel (with carbon inserts, too), HARTGE carbon interior embellishments for the dashboard, transmission console and door grips or, in aluminium, the two-piece pedal set, handbrake cover, which is also available in leather / aluminium, and a set of HARTGE velour foot mats in black.

The choice is large and the result persuasive: fine and fast. HARTGE what else?

2006 BMW M3 Spy Photos

Seen here driving on the German Nürburgring is the first prototype of BMW's much anticipated M3. These photos confirm our original report (see story below) of a 4 door M3 being brought back into the model range since the E36 platform. We also reported the M3 would receive a V8 engine. If you look closely at the hood you'll notice the entire center has been sectioned out and replaced with a specially fabricated cover. It cannot be determined from these photos if the cover is steel or another material, however, it is clear that the purpose of this modification is to compensate for a larger engine. Other indicators of this prototype's intentions can be seen in the massive cross-drilled front and rear brake rotors as well as dual split exhaust pipes carefully hidden under the rear bumper fascia. Unfortunately this prototype is not having a full dress rehearsal since M3 styled front and rear fascias are absent as standard 3 Series bumpers take their place.
