Subaru STi Impreza Inscrito para 24 horas de Nurburgring.
Subaru will be taking an STi factory team to the Nürburgring 24 hour race this year (21-24 May). They will be running a single Impreza WRX STi, to be driven by Kazuo Shimizu, Toshihiro Yoshida, Naoki Hattori and Koji Matsuda.
The car will run a few STi suspension and tuning tweaks, but will essentially be a standard car. While Subaru is gunning for a class win (SP3T), they hope to use this experience to help develop future STi models.

This May, SUBARU Tecnica International (STI) heads to the Nurburgring circuit for the “37th ADAC Zurich 24 Hour Race” (24 Hours of the Nurburgring) with an originally tuned version of the Impreza WRX STI aiming for a class victory.
The ADAC Zurich 24-hour race takes place at the course of 25.378km in total, and is the largest endurance event in the world, with more than 200 cars participating, familiarized by European manufacturers who enter every year. STI particularly and practically uses 20.832kms “Nordschleife” (also called “Old Course”), known as intensively severe course, as a proofing ground for STI developed vehicles. STI’s objective to participate this event is to collect data and verify technical know-how, and also to learn out of this race for future STI vehicle development. STI’s vehicle development is focused on further enhancing the unique ride quality which can be characterized by the theme, “Strength and nimbleness”.
The participating car is Impreza WRX STI built and tuned exclusively by STI, adopting “Flexible Tower Bar”, along with a variety of original chassis and body stiffener and components. Modifications also include weight-reduction and safety equipment installation.
The car will participate in the SP3T class (for turbo-equipped machines with an engine displacement of 2.0 litter). STI will conduct the team management for this race, supervised by Hideharu Tatsumi (STI’s General Manager of Vehicle Experiment Division), while racing the car are four highly experienced professional Japanese drivers.

Esta junto a la SP3 son las categorias mas dificieles.
Este Lindo Subaru factory car, tendra como rivales a 2 Scirocco Turbos de fabrica , 2 Opel OPC Kissling Turbos, y muchos otrso jueguetitos muy rapidos.

Simplemente mi amigo porque hacen tiempos mediocres aqui en Nurburgring, NUNCA un EVO ha resultado bueno en Nurburgring, el circuito mas peligroso y exigente delmundo.

The latest contender to enter the field has been Subaru with its newest generation Impreza WRX STI which has undergone extensive modifications by the brand’s motorsport division - Subaru Technica International - to compete in the event’s SP3T class.
Subaru’s in-house tuning arm will take advantage of the extreme conditions presented at the Nürburgring to further develop the car’s road-going sibling to enhance the breed, as well as highlighting the existing STI performance parts range available to customers.
While STI is keen to flaunt its participation in the event over the coming weeks, it has divulged a few key features of the car such as the use of a much lighter carbon fibre bonnet and a completely rethought suspension setup.
The entire package has been developed and built internally by STI - from the engine controls customised for this year’s required air-restrictor, to the chassis specifications and all the way to assembly.
Where possible, the brand has opted for existing STI and Group N Rally Car sports parts already available on the market such as the Flexible Tower bar, along with prototype performance parts which will eventually find their way into customer hands.
The four professional Japanese drivers at the wheel of the Impreza WRX STI for the event will be Kazuo Shimizu, Toshihiro Yoshida, Naoki Hattori and Koji Matsuda who will all wear team clothing and racing gear developed by STI Performance.
As one of the most ambitious performance showcases at this year’s 24-hour Nürburgring event, STI has also created a special web portal where it will slowly release new information about the car for enthusiasts and who will also eventually be able to track the team’s progress live.

y arriba les dejaban un rallador de aceite grande con 2 ventiladores o inclusibe lo tiraban un pokito mas para el frente y dejaban una entrada de ire libre con los mismos ventiladores pegados a la tapa (supongo que es para que caliente del motor no influya en el enfriamientro del intercooler)

Que varas en ninguno de los casos lo tiran completamente al frente...me imagino q también para reducir el recorrido del aire o quien sabe q será.
