Lawson's fastest superkart lap at Laguna Seca is 1:23.875 at an average of 100.864 mph. For reference, that time would have put him on pole for last April's Rolex Series Daytona Prototype race. It's just over a second off Nicky Hayden's MotoGP pole time and good enough for 4th on last year's ALMS GTS class grid behind a pair of factory Corvette C5-Rs and a Saleen S7R. Impressive company for any race car, let alone a 250-cc kart.
