... Over 50 Formula 1 cars have been confirmed for the 2010 Goodwood Festival of Speed as part of their celebration of 60 years of the world championship.

Among the drivers taking the cars up Goodwood hill next month are Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button, Mark Webber, Nico Rosberg, Jarno Trulli, Heikki Kovalainen, Karun Chandhok, Bruno Senna, Marc Gene and Nick Heidfeld.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is a massive celebration of motor racing which takes place at Goodwood House in Sussex every summer. A collection of great motor racing cars and bikes from the past and present are displayed and many of them are driven up the hillclimb course.

A small number do so against the clock, although the competitive element of the event has been toned down in recent years to allow spectators to stay close to the action.

Mi Estimado Javier:

Recuerdo muy bien aquellos campeonatos en los que los Hnos Quiros brillaron en todas las pistas en que compitieron.
Sos un orgullo para Costa Rica y para los fanáticos del automovlismo ticos y para los que admiramos a los pilotos "pura sangre". Durente muchos años he seguido con amor y pasión el automovilismo centroamericano y dejame decirte que ya dejaste una huella difícil de igualar.

Tu decisión es respetable y obligadamente todos los fanáticos tendremos que aceptar con nostalgia que uno de los mejores pilotos ya no estará siempre en las pistas, pero tu imagen perdurará en el tiempo, junto con los campeones centroamericanos que hicieron época, y que son y seguirán siendo un ejemplo para los fanáticos y para los pilotos actuales y futuros.

Que el futuro sea un gozo para ti y tu familia. FELICIDADES CAMPEON.
