Barrichello amenaza con retirarse si detecta favores de Brawn a Button

Rubens Barrichello amenaza con dejar la Fórmula 1 si detecta favores a su compañero en el equipo Brawn, Jenson Button, que ganó el Gran Premio de España tras un cambio de estrategia del equipo. "Si tengo la menor prueba de que han favorecido a Jenson, colgaré el casco mañana mismo", declaró el piloto brasileño al canal estadounidense SpeedTV.

Rubens restó crédito a las sospechas. "Sé que Ross (Brawn) no haría algo semejante. Él me pidió que pilotara para él y sabe que yo quiero competir limpiamente con Jenson", comentó.

Ya le pasó en Ferrari
Las órdenes de equipo son un asunto muy sensible para Barrichello, que en 2005 abandonó Ferrari un año antes de que expirase su contrato tras recibir la sugerencia de no pelear con su compañero, el alemán Michael Schumacher, cuando Ross Brawn era director técnico del equipo italiano.

Preguntado por si temía que algo parecido pueda sucederle ahora en Brawn GP, Barrichello afirmó: "He tenido experiencia de eso, y si sucede otra vez no seguiré ninguna orden del equipo. Quiero dejarlo claro, pero vivimos una situación bastante más amistosa que todo eso".

Barrichello protagonizó en Barcelona un magnífico comienzo de carrera, al ponerse líder antes de la primera curva partiendo del tercer puesto en la formación, y estaba en condiciones de obtener la victoria de no haber sido por un cambio de estrategia en el equipo.

Los neumáticos decidieron
Brawn tenía previsto que los dos coches hicieran tres paradas, pero en la primera de Button cambiaron la estrategia para reducirlas a dos, al comprobar que, pese a llevar una elevada carga de combustible, marcaba parciales muy rápidos.

Las opciones de victoria de Barrichello siguieron intactas hasta su segunda parada. Tuvo problemas de neumáticos y perdió el tiempo suficiente para que Button se pusiera al frente. "Mi tercer juego no era bueno, no sé si el coche tenía algo roto. Por eso no pude mantener el ritmo, era una lucha por mantener el coche en pista y fue un alivio terminar segundo", confirmó.

La victoria de Button en Barcelona aumentó a 14 puntos su ventaja sobre Rubinho en la clasificación del Mundial.

Ross Brawn tomó la decisión
Ross Brawn aseguró que no se tomó ninguna decisión para favorecer a Button. "El cambio de estrategia fue decisión mía. Los ingenieros y los pilotos evalúan su información y hacen sus recomendaciones, pero soy yo quien decide las llamadas al pit lane y, buenas o malas, son mi responsabilidad", subrayó.

"Si se miran los tiempos por vuelta, los neumáticos y el combustible, se ve que hay un periodo de la carrera en la que Rubens iba un poco más lento de lo previsto, y eso le costó la victoria, porque Jenson, con más carga de combustible, iba más rápido", explicó.

Lo duda que está gozando la platica mae? Si se compró un viaje al espacio exterior de los que vende Virgin Galactic de su patrocinador Richard Branson! $200000 cuando a estas alturas ni siquiera están listos las naves ni el punto de despegue ni nada... así o más caché? Otro que está empezando los programas de entrenamiento es Niki Lauda porque ya también tiene su campo.

The Virgin logos on the Brawn GP BGP 001 cars have been replaced this weekend with Virgin Galactic logos, Sir Richard Branson’s space tourism venture. Having already signed up some 300 passengers, Rubens Barrichello has paid his $200,000 (£136,000/150,000) and, once the VMS and VSS (Virgin MotherShip and Virgin SpaceShip) become operational, will officially become an astronaut.

At a press conference in Bahrain yesterday, Rubens Barrichello was handed his ticket by Branson, and was joined by Formula One World Champion Niki Lauda, who will be training to become a space pilot for Virgin Galactic.

Barrichello said:

“For me it is such a pleasure to be here and involved in Virgin Galactic because since I was a kid, it’s a very, very clear feeling that I have always wanted to go to space. I became a racing driver, which involves getting a fast car, but I want to see up there how fast it goes. When I saw the project coming I asked if I could be a part of it, and Richard has given me access to it as there are a lot of people who wanted to be in there. So I am proud to be there. For me it is going to be such an experience. I am very encouraged and I have no more words – it is really kind to be a part of it.”

In a press release, Branson added:

“I have always said I would love to have a Virgin car on the circuit. I am thrilled to be involved with people as skilled as Ross Brawn and his team. Over the years Virgin has had the great honour of partnering with technical geniuses – I truly believe Ross Brawn is to F1 what Burt Rutan is to space travel with Virgin Galactic. We are very confident that the Virgin Car driven by Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello will go from strength to strength this season and look forward to a great future for the Brawn GP team.”

Branson also said he would like to build a spaceport in the Middle East.

We have been convinced for some time that, with the right regulatory clearances, the Middle East offers exactly the right criteria for Virgin Galactic space launches, not just for space tourism but for science research and small satellite launch. I am pleased to say that we are in discussions with a small number of investor groups in the Gulf, interested in bringing manned space flight, space based scientific projects and a transformational satellite launch system to the region.

Qué va, definitivamente le agarró tarde para quejarse.

Hmmm no sé, me parece una combinación de fuera de contexto mas el momento en el que le preguntan, el mae no dice nada más que lo que haría SI x situación se diera. Viendo este gráfico yo diría que ciertamente el mae perdió el gane solo (a menos que alguien piense en sabotaje), aunque hay que ver que si el mae hubiera ido rápido en ese 3er stint Massa y Vettel lo hubieran bloqueado un toque, pero ya eso es difícil de predecir. Lo único raro para mí es que o no le dijeran que Jenson había cambiado estrategia o que no reaccionaran a esa información. Lo más lógico hubiera sido que cubrieran a JB para asegurar el gane, aunque talvez pesó la cuestión de no querer quedar pegado detrás de Rosberg si duraban un seg más de lo que duraron cargando gas para el segundo stint.

No sé si por efecto de las llantas duras porque JB también las llevaba Además adelante en ese momento tenía adelante a Massa y Vettel que no hubieran sido fáciles de pasar ( por lo menos hasta que Massa se quedara sin gas. ) Yo en realidad creo que donde no hizo el tiempo necesario fue después de su segunda parada, donde el gráfico parece un serrucho je je.

Pero mae no, fue algo en el tercero, ojo las llantas de cada stint:

si bien el segundo de Rubens fue un toque errático el mae iba considerablemente más rápido que Button (mucho menos gas) y ahí fue bajando tiempos conforme quemaba petróleo. Pero en el tercero el mae seguía en llantas suaves, mientras JB seguía con las mismas llantas suaves pero ya muchísimo más gastadas. Aún así Rubens no logró estar ni cerca del desempeño de su segundo stint, que es lo que uno hubiera esperado. Ya en el tercero con las mismas llantas duras e igual carga de gas tampoco se le acercó al Jenson. De lo que recuerdo ninguno de los dos tuvo tráfico en ningún momento, excepto Jenson en el primer stint que llevaba a Rubens adelante, inclusive me parece (porque el jetas de fucksports no se callaba) que por ahí de la 5 vuelta después del safety car JB le pregunta al ingeniero que por qué Rubens va tan lento, que podría ir mucho más rápido; claro Rubens llevaba un par de vueltas más de gas en ese momento.
Otra vara a considerar es que siempre se ha dicho que JB tiene un estilo super controlado y progresivo, y que eso lo ayuda mucho a conservar llantas. Talvez Rubens en la misma estrategia no le hubieran aguantado las llantas suaves tantas vueltas. Por ejemplo recuerdo a LH, estilo super agresivo de manejo, apenas pasada la mitad del segundo stint diciendo que ya no tenía llantas traseras. Por otro lado Webber le sacó también como quinisientas vueltas a la misma llanta suave con segundo stint de cisterna y ahí se ganó el podio. Sería interesante ver los tiempos de Webber.

El mosquero se hace porque RB hizo 3 paradas (4 stint) y JB 2 paradas (3 stint) Ya para el último stint Burrinho no tenía nada que hacer porque no tenía chance de alcanzar al botones...


Y lo del radio yo sí lo pude oir, JB en efecto dijo que podía ir más rápido, pero yo no lo ví cortándole tiempo a RB. Entonces para qué la hablada? En tu gráfico se vé clarísimo que inclusive el brasuca más bien le iba sacando en esas primeras vueltas, y eso qe llevaba un toque más de gasofia.

Muy buena la observación de cuidar las llantas y la muy buena carrera que se hizo Marky Mark, en cambio LH decía por el radio "NO GRIP!" pero así en exclamación porque el mae de veras iba pariendo con el carro y las llantas.
