El piloto costarricense André Solano participó el fin de semana pasado en la segunda fecha de la Serie Dominicana de Drifting en suelo caribeño.
A bordo de su auto Nissan Silvia el costarricense finalizó en la segunda posición de la categoría PRO, esto luego de llegar a la final donde su rival fue Jonathan Castro, cuatro veces campeón de ese país.

60 tripulaciones competirán en la novena edición del Jamboree 4×4
La novena edición del Jamboree 4×4 contará con la participación de 60 equipos que tendrán como gran reto vencer a la naturaleza y salir de la montaña una vez vencidos todos los obstaculos que se encontrarán en la ruta.
La prueba se realizará los días 23,24 y 25 de agosto en la fina La Alejandra en Sarapiqui, en el sector norte de nuestro país donde las tripulaciones encontrarán un ruta completamente nueva.
“Hemos visitado varias veces ya el lugar y la ruta es completamente nueva para todos, hay mucho barro, pegaderos complicados, pasadas técnicas, ríos y quebradas, cuestas y bajadas dificiles” explicó Luis Diego Chan, miembro del comité organizador.
El Jamboree 4×4 no se divide en categorías, es más una prueba donde se busca que los participantes vivan una aventura extrema, donde se deberá trabajar en equipo para poder superar la ruta.
La prueba no es apta para cualquier vehículo y el limite de participantes es de 60 tripulaciones, a la hora de edición de esta noticia ya había 50 pilotos inscritos.

Hamilton ganó el Gran Premio de Gran Bretaña
El británico Lewis Hamilton logró una sexta victoria en el Gran Premio de Gran Bretaña, décima prueba del Mundial de F1, disputado este domingo en el circuito de Silverstone.
Este triunfo le permite convertirse en el piloto más laureado en la prueba inglesa, superando al escocés Jim Clark y al francés Alain Prost (5). Y de paso Hamilton amplió de 31 a 39 unidades su renta al frente de la clasificación de pilotos.

El alemán Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) fue 16º y penúltimo -delante del mexicano Sergio Pérez- después de haber tocado el monoplaza del holandés en la vuelta 37, lo que le valió una sanción de 10 segundos.
La carrera británica ofreció una serie de duelos apasionantes sobre el asfalto, como el que mantuvieron el ‘poleman’ Bottas y Hamilton en la 4ª vuelta, o Leclerc y Verstappen en los giros 14 y 24.
Más agresivo en pista que en Austria a finales de junio, el monegasco parece haber extraído las lecciones de la batalla perdida ante el holandés Verstappen por la victoria en el precedente Gran Premio.

Subaru lanza tentadora promoción por la compra de un auto nuevo
Auto Subaru de Costa Rica lanzó una promoción bastante tentadora para sus clientes en las cuales en el caso de la compra de un auto nuevo se podrá escoger entre tres opciones de regalos de forma inmediata.
Se trata de una moto tipo scooter de la marca Hero de 110 c.c., la segunda opción es un cashback de $1500 que se pueden aplicar al precio o a la prima del vehículo, y por último, el tercer regalo son tres días y dos noches de hospedaje en Breeze Private Residence Club at Pacifico para un máximo de cuatro personas.
Así lo dio a conocer Kristian Federspiel, director comercial de Auto Subaru, quien explicó que este es un beneficio que reciben los clientes para agradecerles su preferencia y lealtad. Enfatizó que el podrá elegir uno de los tres obsequios en la compra de cualquier Subaru nuevo, ya sea de contado o financiado, eso sí, sin recibir otro carro como forma de pago.

Veinsa y Taller 3R abren nuevo taller de enderezado y pintura
Veinsa Motors inauguró esta semana su nuevo taller de enderazado y pintura de la mano del Taller 3R ubicado en la sucursal en Curridabat, la apertura significa además la unión de dos grandes empresas costarricenses.
El nuevo taller le permitirá a Veinsa dar un trabajo de primer calidad en reparaciones estructurales y bajo los standares de cada una de las fabricas de las nueve agencias que distribuyen en Costa Rica.
“Para Veinsa es un paso importante luego de 60 años de llevar calidad a los costarricenses, ahora integramos este servicio donde cuando reparemos un vehículos lo entregaremos totalmente como nuevo” explicó Sebastián Pérez, director de Post Venta de Veinsa.
Dicho taller representa una inversión aproximada de $1.200.000 donde los equipos son de última tecnología y además el personal ha sido preparado completamente para lograr los standards de calidad, este nuevo taller generará 20 nuevos empleos.
El nuevo taller 3R en Veinsa además fue construido de acuerdo a las normas ambientales más estrictas, las pinturas por ejemplo son a base de agua que son 85% menos contaminantes que las de base solvente, los residuos de los procesos son tratados adecuadamente para no generar contaminación.
Se acaba la producción del Volkswagen Beetle luego de 81 años
Volkswagen producirá este miércoles la última unidad del Beetle, uno de sus modelos más antiguos que cuenta con 81 de vida y será en la planta de la marca en Puebla, México donde concluirá la historia de este modelo.
El Beetle vio su origen cuando Ferdinand Porche lo diseño, esto a pedido del régimen de Adolfo Hitler que buscaba un auto que fue para los alemanes, lo que era en su epoca el Ford T para los Estados Unidos.
Cuando finalizó la segunda guerra mundial el proyecto se puso en marcha por completo bajó supervisión inglesa, años después el control del “Vocho” regreso a los alemanes, para 1955 ya se habían vendido más de un millón de unidades.
En el año de 1968 la popularidad del “Vocho” se apoderó del mercado estadounidense donde la marca colocaba el 40% de su producción, fue a finales del año 70 cuando la plata de Wolfsburgo dejó de fabricalo para dar paso a otro auto emblema de la marca como lo es el Golf.
En México el Beetle se fabrica desde el año 1967 en su planta en Puebla, este se produjo hasta el año 2003 cuando nació el “New Beetle”, ahora luego de más de ocho décadas de historia este miércoles se dejará de fabricar.
